Boston Police Incidents for Saturday December 17, 2005

Woman Shot in Jaw in Mattapan, Shotgun RecoveredOfficers from District 3 responded to 3 Fottler Road and met a female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the jaw. An unknown male suspect fled the scene after the shooting. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. While securing the crime scene, officers found a black shotgun inside a closet within the residence. 17-year-old Carlos Lowery was arrested for being in possession of the shotgun. This investigation continues. Suspect Arrested in Brighton Library Break-in About 7:30 last night, officers from District 14 responded to an Alarm Call at the Brighton Library, 40 Academy Road. They found a basement door open and searched the building. Hiding behind a bookshelf was 68-year-old Raymond Houle who was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering. Arraignment will be Monday in Brighton District Court. One Arrested After Traffic Stop, BB Gun Recovered Officers from District 4 stopped a car on Boylston Street for making an illegal U-Turn. The two occupants of the car were each found to have outstanding arrest warrants. The driver, 20-year-old Yvan Charlot of Cambridge was wanted on a default warrant issued from Cambridge District Court. He was also charged with possession of ammunition, a 9mm round was found inside the car. It will be forwarded to ballistics for testing. ABB gun was also found in the hatch area of the car and seized by officers.
