Parking Tickets Leads to Murder ArrestLast night at 22:05, an officers assigned to District 13 responded to a report of a vehicle double parked preventing a legally parked car to move. The officer ran the illegally parked vehicle’s registration and discovered the owner was wanted on a Parole warrant for Murder. The officer arrested Israel Cruz, 52, of Jamaica Plain. Suspect arrested After Armed Robbery on State Street Officers arrested Francis Nearis, 34, of Malden last night in the Aquarium MBTA station after robbing the Store 24 on State Street. According to witness’, the suspect entered the store at 19:27 and robbed it at gun point. Police recovered a silvered colored pistol-cigarette lighter and U.S. Currency. Nearis will be arraigned this morning in the Boston Municipal Court. Suspect Arrested with Firearm in Jamaica Plain Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Riccardo Knight, 19, of Roxbury last night at 279 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain. At about 17:20, officers heard a gun shot, and observed the suspect flee. The suspect was charged with Trespassing, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of a Firearm with obliterated serial numbers. He will be arraigned today. Juvenile Stabbed and Juvenile Arrested in Jamaica Plain A 15-year-old male from Mattapan suffered a non-life threatening stab wound after a 13-year-old male from Charlestown stabbed him with a piece of glass. The 13-year-old was placed under arrest and will be arraigned this morning. The incident occurred last night at about 19:49 on Metcalf Street in Jamaica Plain.
