Boston Police Incidents for January 7, 2006

Dorchester Residence Hit by GunfireAt 8:26pm last night, officers from District 11 in Dorchester responded to shots fired in the area of Glen Street and Trull Street. Officers located several pieces of ballistic evidence in the street and learned that a residence on Trull Street had several bullet holes in the front door and surrounding area. Some of the rounds penetrated into walls inside the residence. No injuries were reported. This investigation is ongoing. Five Arrested in Roslindale, Gun Recovered At 10:24pm last night, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested five individuals outside of 50 Archdale Road. 19-year-old Pedro Colon of Roslindale, 21-year-old Reynaldo Feliz-Pena of Roslindale, and a juvenile were arrested and charged with drinking alcohol in Public. 24-year-old Eddie Gautier and 21-year-old Salome Cabrera, both of Boston, were charged with the unlawful possession of the firearm/ammunition. The gun, a loaded .38 caliber handgun was taken from Gautier’s coat pocket during the investigation. All will be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on Monday. Dorchester Man Robbed at Gunpoint At 11:21pm last night, officers from District 11 in Dorchester responded to 1768 Dorchester Ave. to meet the victim of a robbery. According to the victim, a group of six black non-Hispanic youths approached him, put a gun to his head and demanded money. All suspects took off on foot with about $80.00 of the victim’s money. A search of the area was made to no avail, and the victim was not injured. This investigation is ongoing. Dorchester Man Arrested, Gun Recovered Just before midnight, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested 41-year-old Earl Grant of Dorchester for illegally carrying a loaded gun. Officers had responded to 80 Talbot Ave in Dorchester for a report of a fight. Grant was located at the scene and was observed by officers attempting to discard the gun under a parked car. A loaded .25 caliber Beretta was recovered and Grant was taken into custody. He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Monday. Back Bay Robbery Suspect Arrested on Berkeley Street Just before 4am this morning, officers from District 4 went to 50 Berkeley Street for a report of two men fighting. The victim told the officers that he was just robbed of his wallet, and the suspect was walking on Appleton Street. The suspect, 42-year-old Michael Hasberry of Dorchester was stopped on Appleton Street and found to have the victim’s wallet in his possession. Hasberry was positively identified by the victim and was placed under arrest for the Robbery. According to the victim, Hasberry stated he had a gun and demanded money. There were also three other reported robberies in the area between 11:00pm and 1:40am with similar circumstances. Investigators are looking into a possible connection due to the similarities in the suspect description and MO. This investigation is ongoing.
