Career Criminal Arrested with Gun in RoxburyOfficers from District 2 responded to 32 Whiting Street at 10:10pm last night on a report of a fight. The officers spoke with two female victims standing outside who stated that the suspect just pointed a gun at them and ran inside the apartment upon seeing the officers arrive. According to one of the victims, she and the suspect had been in a dating relationship that ended recently and the suspect was upset over the breakup. He arrived at the apartment to retrieve a set of keys and an argument ensued. Officers entered the apartment and confronted the suspect as he was walking down from the second floor. A search of the area led to the discovery of a loaded 9mm handgun and three bags of crack cocaine. The suspect, 24-year-old Stephen Harley of West Roxbury was arrested and charged as a career criminal for the unlawful possession of the gun/ammunition and drugs. Three small children, ages 5, 2 and 2, were in the apartment at the time of the incident. He will be arraigned today in the Roxbury Division of the Boston Municipal Court. Triple Shooting Leaves Three Injured Last night at about 8:52pm officers from District 2 responded to the area of Cedar Street and Washington Street on a report of three people shot. Officers located three victims, a 14-yer-old and two 16-year-olds, all male suffering from non-life threatening injuries. All three victims went to an area hospital and detectives continue to investigate this incident. Anonymous information can be given by calling 1-800-494-TIPS (8477). Cambridge Man Arrested for Extortion At about 2pm yesterday, Detectives from District 2 arrested 27-year-old Dion Woodard after an investigation into extortion. A victim reported to police that the suspect had recorded an intimate encounter between him and the victim without the victim’s knowledge. The suspect later called the victim and threatened to provide the recording to people known to the victim unless money was given to the suspect. After notifying the police, the victim arranged to meet the suspect and exchange money for the recording. Officers intervened and arrested the suspect. Dorchester Teen Arrested with Gun At 7:08pm last night officers of the Youth Violence Strike Force stopped two males known to them riding bicycles in the area of Clifton Street and Burgess Street. As the officers were conducting their investigation, one officer noticed the handle of a firearm protruding from the breast pocked on one of the suspects. Junior Dasilva, 18, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with the unlawful possession of the firearm, a loaded 9mm. Casimiro Barros, 19, was also arrested for being a disorderly person.
