South Boston Juvenile Arrested for Intimidation of a Witness Detectives from District 6 in South Boston responded to the Gavin Middle School yesterday at 11:45am on a report of intimidation of a government witness. The 13-year-old victim reports that on 4/6/06 while in class he was hit three times by the suspect and told to stop snitching. The suspect was referring to an incident where his friend was arrested for holding a knife to the victim’s neck on 3/28/06. Detectives and Officers from District 6 responded to an address on Old Colony Avenue where they arrested the 15-year-old male and charged him with three counts of Assault and Battery and Intimidation of a Government Witness. The Juvenile will be arraigned in the Boston Juvenile Court. Six Arrested At Brighton House Party This morning at 3:57am, officers from District 14 responded to 44 Mapleton Street on a report of a loud party. The officer approached the dwelling and ordered the party to end. The people on the porch and inside the apartment refused. The police arrested Victor Pontes-Macedo, 25, of Brighton, Thomas Pierro, 23, of Boston, Salim Akram, 23, of Brighton, Richard Thompson, 22, of Brighton, John Wargo, 23, of Brighton, and John George, 25, of Brighton who were all charged with Disturbing the Peace and Keeper of a Disorderly House. They will be arraigned Monday morning in the Brighton District Court. Police Execute Search Warrant and Recover Firearms and Drugs Members of the Boston Police Special Investigations Unit, Youth Violence Strike Force, Massachusetts State Police and Special Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a Roxbury District Court Search Warrant at 185 Cabot Street yesterday. Recovered in the apartment were: one black colored Mossberg 12 gauge pump shotgun with obliterated serial numbers, ammunition, a pocket scale, glad sandwich bags, U.S. Currency, a silver and black colored power line BB pistol, and a plastic bag of green vegetable matter believed to be marijuana. Police arrested Marvin Harris, 18, of that address and charged him with: Unlawful Possession of Firearm, Possession of a Firearm with Altered Serial Numbers, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of Class D drugs. He will be arraigned in the Roxbury District Court on Monday morning. Another resident of the apartment will be summoned to court. Area A-1 Drug Control Unit Arrests Two in Charlestown Members of the Drug Control Unit observed two individuals involved in a drug transaction in the area of Sullivan and High Streets in Charlestown yesterday afternoon. Police stopped Melissa Brown, 37, of Charlestown outside 20 Sullivan Street where she was found to be in possession of heroin. Brown was placed under arrested and charged with Possession of Class A. The second individual involved in the drug transaction fled the area in her motor vehicle. Police stopped her vehicle in City Square and placed her under arrest as well. Police arrested Jennifer Fiddler, 21, of Charlestown who was found to be in possession of various drugs. Fidler is charged with Distribution of Class A, Possession of Class A, Possession of Class A with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Class B with Intent to Distribute, Three counts of Possession of Class C with Intent to Distribute, six counts of School Zone violations (within 1000’ of the Edwards Middle School), Possession of Class D, and Possession of Hypodermic Needles. Both will be arraigned in the Charlestown District Court. Three Juvenile and Two Adults Arrested After Shots Fired in Roxbury Last night at about 8:43pm, officers from District 2 responded to a radio call for shots fired in the rear of 53 Homestead Street in Roxbury. Officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force were searching the area for ballistic evidence when they stopped five males who were walking away from an address directly behind 53 Homestead Street. While speaking with these five males, Boston Operations notified the officers that a witness was on the phone stating the five people officers stopped had just exited 121 Hutchings Street after the shooting and the door was still open to that address. The officers responded to that address and entered the vacant apartment. The officers observed the apartment to be vandalized and vacant. The stove to the apartment was open and set at 500 degrees, spray paint on the ceilings. Officers recovered a loaded firearm from under a hot water heater and secured the address. Police arrested the five suspects and charged them all with trespassing and unarmed Breaking and Entering in the Night. Two 16-year-old’s from Roxbury and a 16-year-old from Dorchester will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court. Dennis Wilson, 17, of Dorchester and Aaron Boyd, 17, of Roxbury will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
