Trio Arrested After Xenon Light Theft

Officers in District 4 responded to a call for a Larceny in Progress at 345 Columbus Avenue at about 4:04am this morning. According to a witness, three males just removed the headlights of a parked and unoccupied Audi and fled the area in a red van. A description of the suspect vehicle was broadcast and it was spotted by officers in the area 250 Massachusetts Avenue. After officers stopped the van two of its occupants jumped from it and ran only to be caught by officers behind the Christian Science complex. The red van then took off from police eventually getting on Route 93 south. With the help of the Massachusetts State Police, the red van was stopped outside 205 Hamilton Street and the third suspect was arrested. Inside the van officers discovered 4 sets of Xenon Headlamps, 8 screwdrivers, various other tools and a crow bar. Jose Camilo, 17, of Dorchester and a Male Juvenile, 16, from Roxbury were caught running from the van and Jean Pabon, 24, of Dorchester was apprehended at the Hamilton Street location. All three are charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
