Attempted Abduction at 393 Shawmut Avenue

Detectives from District 4 are investigating an attempted abduction of an 8 year-old girl in the South End that occurred about 3:23pm at 393 Shawmut Avenue. According to the victim, she was playing with her friends when the suspect approached her. An individual observed this incident causing the suspect to flee the scene. At that time the suspect got into his vehicle and fled on West Brookline Street towards Washington Street. The driver is described as either a white or light skinned Hispanic male 6’-6’-1” wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans. The vehicle is described as white with black handles, 4-door older model possibly similar to a Nissan or a Toyota. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where she is being evaluated.Boston Police Detectives from District 4 are currently investigating this incident.
