Witnesses Cheer on Suspects as they Stab TeenLast night at 6:41pm, investigators from District 11 responded to a radio call for a person shot at 374 Washington Street in Dorchester. On arrival officers discovered that a 13-year-old female from Dorchester had been stabbed in the abdomen at that location. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. According to witnesses on scene, two teenage females were responsible for the assault. Witnesses further stated that four teenage black males were present at the scene and were encouraging and cheering on the suspects during the stabbing. No arrests have been made and District 11 detectives are currently investigating this incident. Victim, Officer, and Suspect All Injured After Armed Robbery Arrest in Back Bay Officers from District 4 responded this morning shortly after midnight to a report of an armed robbery in progress at 47 Huntington Avenue. While en route to the victim they were updated that four black male had jumped the victim on Boylston Street and were fleeing outbound on Huntington Avenue. The officers located the 21-year-old female victim from Boston who stated that she was walking on Huntington Avenue when three black males grabbed her bags on her shoulders and threw her to the ground hitting her head on the sidewalk. One suspect kicked the victim in the head and placed a firearm to her head while demanding her bags and ordering her to stop screaming. The two other suspects continued to attempt to steal her bags. The suspects dragged the victim about 5 to 6 feet before she lost the grip of her bags. The suspects then fled with the victims Prada and Fendi leather bags in different directions. Officers searching the area observed a suspect matching the description of one of the suspects running down Blagden Street toward Exeter Street and were able to stop him at One Exeter Place. While the officers were conducting a threshold inquiry, the suspect fled a second time with officers pursuing him on foot. With the assistance of additional District 4 officers, the suspect was stopped again at Exeter and Huntington Avenue after jumping across the hood of a marked cruiser. The suspect was positively identified by the victim and witness and placed under arrest. A second witness observed the suspects rummaging through the victim’s bags next to the Lenox Hotel. This witness returned two ripped bags to the officers that belonged to the victim. The victim was treated by Boston EMS at the scene for her injuries. The officer was injured after falling as he was chasing the suspect on foot, he was transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries. The suspect was transported to the Boston Medical Center and treated for minor injuries and released to his cell at District 4. The suspect, Jason Henry Simmons, 22, of Roxbury will be arraigned today at the Boston Municipal Court and charged with Armed Robbery, Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon to wit a Shod Foot, and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon to wit a Firearm. Suspect Arrested After Officers Attempt to Assist Him Home This morning at 12:39am, officers from District 14 responded to 45 Selkirk Road in Brighton for a report of a B&E in progress. On arrival officers located a 28-year-old male, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, turning doorknobs and attempting to open doors in the rear of 61 and 65 Chiswick Street. Officers determined that this individual lived in the area and offered him a ride to his house. The suspect then began yelling at the officers pushing them away from him. The officers repeatedly attempted to calm the suspect down and assist him to his house. The suspect began struggling with officers and was eventually placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. Michael Hickey, 28, who resides in Brighton, will be arraigned this morning in the Brighton District Court.
