WARRANT ISSUED IN STABBING MURDER OF JAMES GREEN

The Boston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Michael Scott of Hyde Park, who has been identified for the stabbing murder of James Green. Michael Scott, 21, is described as a black male, approximately 5’5” and 135 lbs.On June 12, 2006 at approximately 8:52pm, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force observed a male on Washington Street near Melville Avenue in Dorchester suffering from a stab wound. The victim, James Green, 28, of Dorchester, was treated and transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Scott’s arrest warrant was applied for and granted as a result of the investigative efforts conducted by Homicide Unit detectives. Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Scott to please contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
