Hollywood Video Robbed by GunpointLast night around 7:18pm, officers in District 5 responded to 79 Spring Street for a report on an armed robbery. On arrival officers spoke with victim who stated that the suspect, a black male walked into the store while displaying a handgun. The victim stated that the suspect had a mask on and demanded money from the safe and cash register. The suspect fled the store with an unknown amount of cash. One Suspect Arrested After Stabbing on Wales Street Last night around 8:41pm, officers in District 3 responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 14 Wales Street. On arrival officers observed the victim bleeding from the neck area. The victim stated he was stabbed and the suspect was still inside. Both parties had been drinking and an argument ensued. At that point the suspect was struck in the head with a clothing iron and the victim was stabbed. Enoc Phillips, 47, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon and Assault with Intent to Murder. The victim sustained stab wounds to the neck and chest. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and is in critical condition. The suspect was also transported to Carney Hospital and treated for a non-life threatening injury. Armed Robbery of Gary’s Liquors Last night around 9:41pm, officers in District 5 responded to a radio call for a person with a gun inside Gary’s Liquors at 655 VFW Parkway. On arrival officers were informed that the suspect was still inside the store. Officers check the premise and determined that the suspect had fled the business prior to police arrival via the rear door. Officers spoke with victim who stated the suspect approached him from behind with a gun and demanded cash. The suspect a white male fled in an unknown direction with an undermined amount of cash. Prostitution Sting Nabs Five Between 5:30 and 6:38am this morning, Detectives from District 2 arrested four females for soliciting an undercover police officer for illicit sex acts. Shenita Benjamin, 38, of Roxbury, Elizabeth Thistle, 39, of Roxbury, Mildred Dennis, 54, of Dorchester, Vannice McCray, 55, of Dorchester and Linda Wynn, 52, of Boston were all arrested in the Blue Hill Avenue area and face charges of Sex for a Fee.
