DAILY INCIDENT FOR NOVEMBER 20, 2006

Two Arrested for Robbery of Elderly VictimOfficers from District 13, yesterday around 10:47am, responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress at the intersection of Sedgewick St. and South St. En route, officers were updated regarding the direction of flight of the suspects. Officers observed and were able to apprehend both suspects after foot pursuits. Officers spoke to the 64 year old victim who reported that she was robbed by the suspects as she exited her car to go to the ATM. The victim stated that both suspects approached her and demanded all her money. The victim handed the suspects all her money after which they fled. The victim along with a witness positively identified both suspects and they were arrested. The suspects, Mario Amado, 18, of Dorchester and Henry Johnson, 18, also of Dorchester were both arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery. The money stolen from the victim was found in suspect, Mario Amado’s pocket during the booking search. Breaking and Entering Suspect Arrested Yesterday around 6:50pm, officers from District 4 responded to 90 Wareham St./Zapato’s Store for an audible alarm. There, officers were initially unable to detect any signs of entry but did locate an individual walking from the scene with several pairs of shoes. Officers stopped and questioned this individual who told officers that he had purchased the shoes from a described individual. Search of the area for the described individual was unsuccessful but officers did arrest the detained individual for an outstanding warrant. The owners of the store subsequently responded and the security video inside the store was viewed. Observation of the tape confirmed that the arrested suspect, Thomas Gray, 51, of Boston, was responsible for the breaking and entering of the store. The suspect was further charged with Breaking and Entering, Possession of Burglarious Tools and Larceny from a Building. Bouncer Shot at 33 Stanhope Street Today around 12:56am, officers from District 4 responded to a call for a person shot at 33 Stanhope Street. There, officers located the victim, who was working security for the bar. The victim reported that he and fellow co-workers went to the downstairs area of the club to break up a fight that was taking place and while breaking up the fight he was shot. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The suspect from that incident is described as a black non-Hispanic male, 6’4”, 220 lbs. with short hair and medium complexion.
