UPDATE VICTIM IDENTIFIED IN DEWEY STREET HOMICIDE

On January 24, 2007, at about 12:43 pm, a Boston Police officer responded to 91 Thornton Street for a missing person report. Investigators met with the family of Warren Daniel Hairston, who reported him missing and were concerned about the circumstances. A missing person investigation was then initiated. Boston Police detectives aggressively investigated the facts and circumstances surrounding Mr. Hairston’s disappearance and actively attempted to determine his whereabouts.On January 27, 2007, at approximately 1:08pm, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for a found body at 57 Dewey Street. On arrival, officers located a black male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced at the scene. The victim has been identified as Warren Daniel Hairston, 21, of Roxbury.
