A female suspect entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of money to an awaiting vehicle that police believe was operated by a male suspect. Immediately following the incident, Boston Police put out a radio broadcast detailing the suspect vehicle description. An off-duty Boston Police officer recognized the vehicle from the description and began to follow. The officer alerted Boston Police that he was in pursuit. The officer was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. As standard procedure, the Boston Police Firearm Discharge Investigation Team is reviewing the circumstances of the officer’s department firearm discharge.
