Today Boston Police apprehended Alan Daughtry, 47, of Dorchester for an armed robbery incident that took place last evening. At this time, detectives are investigating Daughtry’s possible connection to a series of armed robberies that have occurred over the past several months.Last night around 6:54pm, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 1102 Massachusetts Ave. (Famous Footwear) for a report of an armed robbery. On arrival, officers spoke with the victims who reported that they had been robbed and that the suspect had fled down Massachusetts Avenue. One victim reported that she was in the back of the store when she was approached by the suspect, and asked for the location of the safe. The suspect proceeded to display a firearm and make threats. The suspect then robbed the store and fled with an undetermined amount of money. Boston Police detectives along with the Fugitive Apprehension Team and the Boston Regional Intelligence Center were actively investigating this incident and soon identified Daughtry as the individual responsible. This afternoon officers apprehended Daughtry at 556 Columbia Road in Dorchester.
