CRIME DOESN'T PAYThis Monday night just after 11:00pm, officers were dispatched to Vox Restaurant at 755 Boylston Street for a report of a person with a gun. A description of the suspect was broadcasted over the radio. Upon arrival, officers observed a man matching the description running up Newbury Street toward Massachusetts Avenue and began to pursue the individual on foot. The suspect was apprehended and transported to 755 Boylston Street where the victim and witnesses positively identified him. The victim told officers that the suspect is employed at the restaurant, where he was working that night. During his shift, he asked the victim if he could leave early and his request was denied. A verbal argument began between the two, which became physical when the suspect threw a barstool at the victim. The situation escalated when the suspect took a handgun out of his duffel bag and aimed it at the victim. He then fled up Boylston Street toward Massachusetts Avenue. Police officers recovered the suspect’s duffel bag in a dumpster on Boylston Street, the firearm was recovered and taken into evidence. Hosea Richardson, 32, of Newton, was charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault by Means of a Firearm. SHOOTING AT LITHGOW At 2:15am, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 51 Lithgow Street in response to a report of shots fired. Additional information revealed that three victims arrived at the District B-3 station, two of which were wounded after being shot outside of the above address. The wounded parties were transferred by EMS to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A fourth victim was located at 51 Lithgow Street, who reported that while being dropped off by his friend, an unknown person began shooting at their car from behind. TWO ARRESTED AFTER BREAK-IN ATTEMPT This morning at 2:25am, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) received a radio call for a Breaking and Entering in progress at Big Load Laundry at 471 Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester. Upon arrival, officers observed two suspicious males in the rear of the building who fled on foot at the sight of the police. Officers successfully apprehended one suspect in the parking lot. The other male took off, running towards Hartwell Street, with a very large set of bolt-cutters in his hand. Officers witnessed the suspect attempt to discard the tool by throwing it in the parking lot behind Big Load Laundry. After being commanded to stop or else a K-9 would be released, the suspect voluntarily submitted and was handcuffed without incident. When speaking to the victim, officers learned that two individuals were witnessed at the rear of the building making rattling noises while another was standing in the parking lot acting as a lookout. This third suspect apparently slipped the scene prior to the arrival of police. A 16-year old male from Dorchester and Brian Sanchez, 22, also of Dorchester were mutually charged with Attempted Breaking and Entering of a Building in the Nighttime, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Malicious Destruction of Property, and Trespassing.
