Davis, Superintendent Dan Linskey, Deputy Superintendent Paul Fitzgerald, Sergeant Michael O’Connor, CEO of PAL Gerald M. Ridge, and PAL board members. WHAT: The Boston Police Activities League (PAL) is pleased to present the City of Boston with a check for $300,000 to be utilized for the enrichment of activities and programming for Boston youth. This past summer, the City experienced great success with the creation of Boston R.O.C.K.S!!! (Recreational Opportunities for City Kids), which focused programming in Boston Police Department-led youth activities, extended hours of operation in Boston Centers for Youth and Families’ priority sites, and provided a six-day per week drop-in program in ten City parks. As the fall approaches, PAL funding will expand these components presently in place, thus ensuring continued safe, after-school activities.
