Operation Squeeze Nets Numerous “Johns”This Friday, around 10:00pm, officers from District B-2 undertook ‘Operation Squeeze’ in an effort to deter prostitution in the Blue Hill Ave. area and prevent all the deleterious effects of prostitution such as drug use, sale and the violence that often accompanies this problem. As part of ‘Operation Squeeze’ two undercover female officers were dispatched to the Blue Hill Ave. and LaGrange St. area where they awaited for Johns to solicit sexual services in exchange for a monetary fee. During this sting, officers arrested the below noted individuals and charged them with Prostitution: Soliciting Sex for a Fee after they approached female officers and offered them money in exchange for sexual services. 1) Aaron Gerald, 47, of Roxbury 2) Fred Holley, 46, of Roxbury 3) Noah Teweldebrhan, 22, of Roxbury 4) Reginald W. Price, 47, of Boston 5) Joao M. Santos, 47, of Brockton 6) Jacques A. Philemon, 30, of Randolph 7) John N. Duarte, 47, of Roxbury 8) Bryant J. Green, 38, of Dorchester. All the arrested suspects will appear in Roxbury District Court on Monday, January 14, 2008 charged with Prostitution: Soliciting Sex for a Fee. Two Suspects Arrested for Armed Robbery Yesterday, Saturday, January 12, 2008 around 2:13pm, officers from District C-6 specifically assigned to the South Bay Shopping Center were alerted via their police radio that an armed robbery had just taken place in the parking lot of the Stop & Shop. There, officers spoke to the victim who reported that two young black males had just robbed him at knifepoint. The victim went on to give offices a more description of the suspects and gave their direction of flight while telling officers that the suspects, wielding a knife, had stolen his I-Pod. A description of the suspects was broadcast and a short while later officers located two individuals matching the suspects’ description at the intersection of Columbia Rd. and Dorchester Avenue. Officers successfully recovered the stolen I-Pod from the suspects after which the victim positively identified them. Officers arrested a 15 year-old and a 16 year-old juvenile from Roxbury and charged them with Armed Robbery. Update to 1443 Dorchester Avenue Shooting Yesterday afternoon around 4:10pm, officers from District C-11 responded to the area of 1443 Dorchester Ave. in Dorchester for a repot of a person shot. There, officers located a 20 year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center by ambulance with life-threatening injuries where he was rushed unto surgery. The victim, after undergoing surgery, failed to stabilize and subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The investigation into this incident is active as the Boston Police tries to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding this shooting incident.
