DOWNTOWN STABBING LANDS TWO IN POLICE CUSTODY

On Thursday, March 13, 2008, around 4:20pm, officers from Area A-1 (Downtown/Beacon Hill) received a radio call for a stabbing at One Cambridge Street.Upon arrival, officers observed a male in his late teens/early twenties with a stab wound to the arm being treated by EMS. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury. Officers apprehended two individuals in conjunction with the incident. Taken into custody were Juan Chavez, 18, of East Boston and a 15 year-old juvenile. Chavez will be charged with Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Affray. The juvenile will be charged with Disturbing the Peace and Affray. Both suspects to be arraigned tomorrow (Friday, March 14, 2008) in Boston Municipal Court.
