PEDESTRIAN STRUCK AT INTERSECTION OF HUMBOLDT AVE AND SEAVER STAt about 2:25pm, on Friday, May 16, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a pedestrian struck at the corner of Humboldt Avenue and Seaver Street. On arrival, officers located a 13 year-old white male who had been struck by a motor vehicle. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he’s being treated for non-life threatening injuries. CAR TAKES OUT GUARD SHACK IN SOUTHIE At about 4:59am, on Friday, May 16, 2008, officers from Area C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle accident in the area of 415 Summer Street. On arrival, officers located a motor vehicle overturned on its side. Additionally, officers observed major damage to a security guard shack connected to the Convention Center. The operator of the motor vehicle was transported to Mass General Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. According to witnesses, the motor vehicle collided with the guard shack. Officers observed extensive damage to both the guard shack and the motor vehicle. HOUSE PARTY LANDS ONE IN POLICE CUSTODY At about 12:32am, on Friday, May 16, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a loud party in the area of 101 Calumet Street. On arrival, upon exiting their cruisers, officers were able to instantly hear loud music. Officers entered the location where the music was emanating from. Once inside, officers could hear what sounded like a large number of occupants moving around in the apartment. When officers knocked on the door, they initially got no response. After a short time, the owner of the apartment answered the door with the chain lock still fastened and asked, “Can I help you?” When officers asked the suspect to remove the door lock, the suspect stated she’d rather not. When officers informed her that was she was being placed under arrest for being the Keeper of a Disorderly House, the suspect relented and allowed officers entry into the premise. Once inside, officers cleared the apartment and arrested Darcy Marie Sly, 21, of Roxbury and charged her with Being the Keeper of a Disorderly House.
