Two Recent Homicide Victims Identified

On Wednesday, June 18, 2008 around 10:25PM, officers from District B-2 responded to 46 St. James St. in Roxbury for a person shot.On arrival, officers located a 16-year old black male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Boston Medical center where he was later pronounced. The victim of that shooting incident has been identified as Quamane Williams, 16, of Dorchester. At approximately 11:18PM on Thursday, June 19, 2008, officers from District B-3 responded to 742 Cummins Highway in Mattapan for a report of person shot. On scene, officers found a young man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to Boston Medical Center by ambulance with life threatening injuries where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Victor Torres, 21, of Mattapan. The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding these two incidents.
