BOSTON POLICE SEEK THE PUBLIC’S ASSITANCETO IDENTIFY ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS Incident Descriptions: • About 2:22pm, Wednesday, June 18, 2008, Officers responded to a radio call for a Panic Alarm at the River Street Mini-Mart at 991 River Street, Hyde Park (District B-3). While officers were on their way, the call was changed to a robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victims who stated that about 2:20pm, four masked black males entered the store. They wore black shirts and black full face masks. Two of them brandished silver colored handguns. One suspect was thin about 5'7", two suspects are about 5'9" and both have a stocky build, and one was about 6'3" and also stocky. One of the suspects, described as stocky and 5'9", pointed a handgun at the victim and forced him to lie by the front door. The other three suspects entered the cash register area through a gate at the far end of the deli area and threatened a second victim with a handgun and forced her to open the cash register. The suspects then removed a large amount of cash. The suspects fled in an unknown direction by unknown means. One of the victims’ activated the panic alarm. It was determined that the suspects stole more than $3,000.00. The suspects also took one book of $20 lottery tickets and two books of $10 lottery tickets totaling to $3,460. The suspects also stole 6 packs of cigarettes (Newport) were also taken • On Thursday, June 19, 2008 at about 9:00pm, officers responded to 162 South St. for a radio call for an Armed Robbery at the J.P. Variety Convenience Store. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated 3 unknown black males, came into the store one through the back door and two through the front door and robbed the store. Victim was asked to give a description of the suspects but he stated he only saw a black sweatshirt and a silver colored automatic handgun. Victim states he was then told to get on the ground. The victim also stated approximately $2,000 was taken from the cash register, lottery register and a small safe. Detectives responded and reviewed the stores digital video system and got an accurate description of all three suspects. Suspect#1: Black Male, 6' about 165Lbs, Black Sweatshirt, Dark Jeans, Black Mask and Black Gloves and a silver colored automatic handgun. Suspect#2: Black Male, 5'-9" about 165Lbs, Gray Sweatshirt, Blue Jeans, White Sneakers, Black Mask and Black Gloves. Suspect#3: Black Male, 5'-9" about 180Lbs, Black Sweatshirt, 3/4 Length Blue Jean Shorts, Light Blue Mask, Black Gloves, Black and White Adidas Sneakers and Black Socks. Boston Police have identified these suspects as the same perpetrators responsible for the robbery the previous day on River Street. The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding both these incidents.
