Homicide Victim IdentifiedAt about 9:13pm, on Monday, September 15, 2008, officers from Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain) were on patrol in the area of Parker Street when they heard what sounded like gunshots. Officers responded to the scene and learned that a 17 year-old black male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds was rushed to Boston Medical Center. The victim was later pronounced as a result of his injuries. The victim has been identified as Thomas Webb, 17, of Jamaica Plain. In connection with this incident, officers arrested Elbert Newson, 19, of Dorchester and charged him with Possession of a Class D Drug (Marijuana) and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
