COMMUNITY ALERTBOSTON POLICE SEEKING HOMICIDE SUSPECT Gorio “Mikey” Lopez Considered Armed and Dangerous Boston Police Homicide Detectives have identified 19 year old Gorio “Mikey” Lopez of Dorchester as the individual responsible for the shooting death of Shoughan Morgan early this morning in Jamaica Plain. Investigators sought and were granted an arrest warrant for Lopez and are currently making every effort to locate and apprehend this dangerous individual. Lopez should be considered armed and dangerous. On Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at approximately 2:10am, Officers assigned to Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain), responded to 43 Mozart Street, third floor, for a report of gunshots. The caller stated two males were heard arguing prior to hearing the shots being fired. Officers located a male victim, later identified 32 year old Shoughan Morgan of Boston suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Mr. Morgan was pronounced on the scene. The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating this incident, and urges anyone with information relative to the whereabouts of Mr. Lopez to contact their office by calling (617) 343-4470.
