HOMICIDE VICTIM IDENTIFIED
At about 12:30am, on Sunday, October 31, 2010, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person down in the area of 1150 Harrison Ave. On arrival, officers located an unknown black male in his 30’s suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced. The victim has since been identified as Orvin Blanding, 40, of Boston.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to contact the Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
