Today detectives sought and were granted an additional arrest warrant out of Dorchester District Court charging Ghella with Breaking & Entering, Assault by Means Dangerous Weapon, Carjacking, Larceny of Motor Vehicle and Assault and Battery.  After a thorough investigation, Ghella was also identified as the person responsible for a B&E incident on Howes Street (Dorchester) and subsequent limo car-jacking (out front Blessed Mother Teresa Church) which occurred on November 6, 2010.

Last night at about 10:50pm, officers responded to a radio call for a B&E in progress on Orton Marotta Way in South Boston. Officers were able to gain entrance to the apartment and located the suspect still inside. At that time, officers placed Joseph Ghella under arrest.

Ghella, who is currently being held on bail, will face arraignment on the new charges at a later date.
