CELL PHONE USED IN THE ROBBERY OF A DELIVERY PERSON LEADS POLICE TO THE SUSPECT

At about 12:02am, on Wednesday, April 19, 2011, Officers responded to a radio call for an armed robbery of a delivery person in the area of 46 Glenhill Road in Mattapan. On arrival, officers spoke to the delivery person who stated that he was robbed while exiting his car to make a delivery. According to the victim, the suspect showed a firearm, took an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the area on foot. A search of the area for the suspect proved unsuccessful. Detectives, however, were able to secure information relative to the phone used to call in the delivery order. After obtaining the name of the subscriber, officers were able to locate the suspect.  After witnesses were able to positively identify the suspect, officers arrested  the suspect and charged him with Armed Robbery.

At about 8:53am, on Saturday, April 23, 2011, officers and detectives from Area B-3 (Mattapan) located the suspect, Robert Amore, 22, of Boston, and took him into custody.
