No Escape for B&E Suspects

Yesterday afternoon around 2:08PM, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested suspects, Jason C. Gomes, 19 of Dorchester and Armando Gomes, 22 of Dorchester and charged them with Breaking and Entering in the Daytime. Additionally, suspect Gomes was charged with Receiving Stolen Property. The suspects came to be arrested after Officers received a call for a breaking and entering in progress at 32 Monadnock Street. En route, officers were provided descriptions of two of the suspects from the incident.

On arrival, officers observed two individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions walking down Monadnock Street. Officers stopped these two individuals for a threshold inquiry and during the stop, the suspects gave contradicting information as to where they were coming from  and appeared to be very nervous.

Officers then went to the victim’s house where they learned that the victim was in the house when she heard some noise in her backyard and looked in the backyard and observed several people unknown to her back there.  The victim specifically stated that one of the individuals identified as suspect Gomes was the person who pushed open a window while the other suspect was identified as a lookout.

The suspects were placed under arrest and during a search incident to arrest, officers recovered two GPS units, three I-Pods and T-Mobile phone from suspect Gomes’ pockets.
