Update to case involving missing person: Amber DeVoe

At this time, Amber DeVoe remains a missing person. Investigators are continuing to work closely with her family and follow any potential leads. Although BPD received several reports of a sighting of Amber in the Washington Street area of the South End, detectives were unable to confirm that it was her. We continue to ask everyone to be vigilant and contact detectives with information, 617-343-5628.

Community Alert: Boston Police Seeking Info on Missing Person (see attached images)

On June 27, 2011 at 8:00pm, an officer from District E-13 in Jamaica Plain took a missing person report regarding 28 year old Amber Devoe of Jamaica Plain. According to a friend, Amber has been missing since June 21, 2011. The friend further stated that she had contact with the victim's friends and family, but, according to the friend, no one had spoken to or heard from the victim. Amber is reported to be in good physical and mental health. A neighbor stated that she may be at a National Guard Training.

At about 10:00pm, on Monday, June 27, 2011, a relative of Amber stated that she may be without necessary medication.

Investigators are releasing both a recent photo of Amber as well as a picture of her vehicle. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Amber Devoe, please contact detectives at District E-13 at 617-343-5628.

 

 

MISSING PERSON

 The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help to locate the below pictured area.  The victim is a Berklee College of Music student but has not been seen or heard from anyone in several days.

 Victim Description:

Name: TAIZO YOSHIDA

Race:  Asian (Japanese)

Build: Slim

Eyes: Brown

Hair: Black

Incident Description:

Yesterday evening around 5:33PM, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to 767 Tremont Street to investigate a premise based on a call from the victim’s mother stating that she had not heard from him in over a week.

On arrival, officers spoke to the victim’s neighbor who also reported not having seen him in a few days. Officers were able to gain entry to the victim’s apartment and there noted that the victim had left his door unlocked, and his wallet at home. Inspection of the victim’s apartment displayed neither signs of forced entry nor any other indications that would cause alarm.

Based on preliminary investigation, officers believe that the suspect may be suffering from depression and as a result may be wandering the streets.

THE BOSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT IS SEEKING THE PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING A MISSING JUVENILE

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to locate a 15 year-old male, Jeffrey Cooper, who went missing from his home in East Boston on Friday, September 24 at approximately 9pm. Jeffrey is autistic and has trouble communicating his needs.

 Jeffrey enjoys riding trains and may try to visit the South End,  the Boston Garden or the Boston University areas. He has wandered away before and been located on the MBTA red line in Braintree and Quincy.

 Jeffrey last seen with a black & gray backpack, blue jeans, black New Balance sneakers, glasses.

UPDATE TO MISSING PERSON

On October 14, 2009 at approximately 2:30am, a body was located in the water behind that Nashua Street jail. Officers responded to that location and determined the body to be that of missing person, William Hurley. The facts and circumstances of his death remain unclear. Investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of his death. No further information is available at this time.

Shortly before her arrival, they had a phone conversation and he informed her that his phone’s battery was going low and he would wait for her. His girlfriend arrived but could not locate him. Officers were informed that the missing male failed to show up to work the following day at the Weston Country Club where he works as a greens keeper. The missing man is described as: William Hurley 24 years of age White male 5’8” 155 pounds Thin build Blonde hair Blue eyes Mr. Hurley was last seen wearing white Nike sneakers, Blue jeans, Green T-shirt and a Red Northface jacket. Incident Description: At about 12:56pm, on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) took a report for a missing person. According to the missing person’s mother, her son was last seen near their home, in the area of 266 Seaver Street, on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at approximately 10:00pm. The missing person’s mother says that her son, Juan Figueroa, suffers from a mental illness, possibly schizophrenia. MISSING PERSON BOLO

On Wednesday, April 2, 2008, family members of missing person, ROC SANON, 43 of Dorchester reported him missing to the Boston Police Department. The victim who has only recently immigrated to Massachusetts from Haiti, and does speak any English was last seen around 10am on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. The victim, a Northeastern University student, disappeared from his home the day after the Superbowl, February 4th and has not been seen or heard from since that date. Yang Xiaochun, an asian female, also know as Jennie, was last seen at approximately 1:30pm on 10/3/07 near the cab stand at 800 Boylston Street (Hynes Convention Center and the Prudential Center). She is approximately 44 years of age, 5'4", 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Boston Police seek assistance in locating 65 year-old Sadie Owens who was last seen at 405 River Street, Mattapan. She is described as a black female, 5’7” tall, thin build, short hair with gray in the front and salt & pepper all around. She was wearing a black t-shirt, dark blue jeans with large cuffs on the bottom and black flat shoes. Robert Neville, aka “Bob” has been missingsince the morning of August 5, 2007. He is 85 years old; date of birth 8/19/1921. Mr. Neville suffers from Dementia.
