Boston Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect with the Assistance of Good Samaritans

At about 2:46am, on Friday, December 13, 2013, officers from District D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a fight at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and South Street.

On arrival, officer located the victim and two Good Samaritans, who were holding down the suspect. The victim stated to officers, he was walking in the area when the suspect began running in his direction with a knife in his hand, and attempted to rob him.  Good Samaritans witnessed the victim struggling with the suspect and came to his aide. Police recovered a knife at the scene.  

Officers arrested Marques Holman, 26, of Dorchester, for Armed Robbery (Knife) and he is expected to be arraigned in Brighton District Court today.
