At about 6:07 PM, Friday, December 20, 2013, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a Person Shot in the area of 74 Bailey Street in Dorchester.
On arrival, officers observed a male victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim reported he was shot by a black male described as being in his twenties, approximately 5'8"- 5'10" tall, wearing a black hooded jacket and a black face mask. The victim stated that the suspects demanded money from the victim. The suspect then attempted to flee the area in the victim’s USPS truck. The suspects later abandoned the vehicle in the area of Clermont Street. The suspects then fled in a UHAUL van which was also later abandoned. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call District C-11 (Dorchester) detectives at 617-343-4335.
