Boston Police Arrests two Suspects in Connection with Commercial Robberies in the Downtown Area

At about 8:33pm, on Sunday, December 22, 2013, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to 4 Cleveland Place in the North End for an individual, identified as Richard Puopolo, 27, of Boston, looking to turn himself into police after seeing that he was wanted by authorities as seen in a Community Alert issued by the Boston Police Department on BPDNews. After being positively identified, Puopolo was arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery, Armed Robbery and Possession Class E, Drugs.

At about 10:32pm, on December 22, 2013, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) while on patrol in the area of Chinatown/Theater District recognized and positively identified Carlos Venable, 43, of Boston as a wanted suspect in connection with local commercial robberies.

Venable was placed under arrested without incident and charged with Unarmed Robbery and Armed Robbery.

Both suspects are expected to appear in Boston Municipal Court today (12-23-2013).
