UPDATE: Police Identify Suspects in Officer Involved Shooting in the area of 136 Westville St.

 

At about 1:05 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2013, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 136 Westville Street, Dorchester.

Boston Police are investigating the facts and circumstances regarding an officer involved shooting in the area of 136 Westville St., Dorchester.  An officer from the Youth Violence Strike Force was struck by gunfire following an exchange of gunfire with a suspect. The officer was transported to a local hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries. The suspect has been pronounced deceased. Police recovered a firearm at the scene.

The deceased suspect has been identified as Darryl Dookhran, 20, of Dorchester.

Police have also identified the second suspect as Christopher Murrain, 26, of Dorchester. Murrain is charged with Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.
