Death Investigation in the area of 70 Ames Street

 

At about 9:45pm, on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to an outside scene for a person shot in the area of 70 Ames Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officer located a male victim, believed to be in his late twenties, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim, suffering from life threatening injuries, was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased. 

Boston Police Homicide detectives are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call detectives at (617) 343-4470.
