Operation “Trojan Horse” Results in the Arrest of 7 Suspects

The Boston Police Department continues targeted efforts to increase public safety and address quality of life concerns in the City of Boston. In keeping with coordinated and strategic initiatives to advance public safety, officers launched operation “Trojan Horse”, a six month investigation, with the intent of interrupting the supply and demand of illegal drug trade. The investigation centered on narcotics trafficking activities. The Drug Control Unit conducted an investigation comprised of a series of undercover operations culminating in a warrant sweep targeting 7 individuals for trafficking, distribution and possession of drugs, and other charges. In addition to the arrests, Boston Police seized large levels of Class A (Heroin) Drugs, Class B (Cocaine) Drugs and US Currency. Search warrants were issued for four motor vehicles, one motor vehicle was seized.

A list of the arrestees includes:
1. Miguel Baptista Santana (aka Pablo Valpais), 39, of Mattapan is charged with Trafficking Drugs (Class A), Distribution of Drugs (Class A), 6 counts, Possession with Intent to Distribute Drugs (Class A), Distribution of Drugs (Class B), and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws, 6 counts.

2. Johanny Hernandez, 32, of Mattapan is charged with Trafficking Drugs (Class B), Distribution of Drugs (Class A), Possession with Intent to Distribute Drugs (Class A), and Possession with Intent to Distribute Drugs (Class B).

3. Yancarlos Melo, 22, of Roxbury is charged with Distribution of Drugs (Class A) and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws.

4. Addiel Pizzaro, 32, of Mattapan is charged with Trafficking Drugs (Class A), Trafficking Drugs (Class B), Distribution of Drugs (Class A), and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws.

5. Fardegris Pena, 33 of South Boston is charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Drugs (Class B) and Possession of Drugs (Class C).

6. Troy Dyson, 42 of Mattapan is charged with Distribution of Drugs (Class A) and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws.

7. Sean Rumsey, 35, of Mattapan is charged with Larceny from the Person and Possession of Drugs (Class A).
