National Night Out 2013!

Mayor Tom Menino, Police Commissioner Ed Davis, the Boston Police Department Neighborhood Watch Unit cordially invite you to attend National Night Out 2013. This year’s National Night Out celebration – the 30th annual citywide celebration of partnerships between the police and community-based organizations – will be held at Malcolm X Park (behind BCYF Shelburne) from 5:00pm - 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 6th. There will be plenty of food, fun and entertainment for all who attend, especially the kids!!!

Entertainment and activities include the following:

• Free Food

• Inflatable slide and sports arena

• Rock Climbing Wall

• Song & Dance performances by Louie Bello & the Citi of Performing Arts

• Zumba

• BPD Ice-Cream Truck

• Bomb Squad Truck

• Award for the Crime Fighter of the Year will be presented by Commissioner Ed Davis and Mayor Menino

One other quick note: To demonstrate and show your support for the concept that involves everybody working together in the fight against crime: every Boston resident is encouraged to keep a light on outside their residence to send a signal that says, “In Boston and all around the country ... people and the police are coming together and working as one to keep communities safe.”
