Fugitive Unit Arrest Two Females on Outstanding Warrants and One Male Suspect in connection with a Shooting at 34 Annunciation Road, Dorchester

 

At 10:23 PM Wednesday, August 14, 2013 after a lengthy surveillance, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit arrested suspect, John Lewis Jr., 20, of Boston, during a car stop in Codman Square, Dorchester. 

Lewis refused to exit the vehicle and a violent struggle ensued before officers were able to handcuff Lewis and remove a .357 Smith and Wesson Magnum from his waist area. Officers suffered minor injuries during the struggle. 

Members of the Fugitive Unit then responded to 62 Burt Street, Dorchester where Lewis was followed and placed two females Shakeda Price, 21, of Roxbury and Kristene Bryant, 26, of Dorchester, under arrest for outstanding warrants. While at that location officers observed clothing worn by Lewis, during a shooting on July 31, 2013 at 34 Annunciation Road, in which Lewis has an outstanding warrant for 15 counts of Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Firearm). 

Lewis was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Operating Motor Vehicle without a License.
