Police Investigate Armed Home Invasion in the Area of 65 Westland Ave

 

At about 12:00AM, Thursday, August 1, 2013, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a Person with a Gun in the Area of 65 Westland Ave.

On arrival, officers observed two victims. One of the victims stated two black males, displaying firearms, gained entrance into the residence. The two suspects demanded money from the victims. The suspects then proceeded to assault the victims with a firearm before fleeing with a unknown amount of U.S. currency. One of the suspects is described as being approximately 6’02 wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with black writing on the front, blue jeans, and dark blue/white Nike Air Force sneakers, the other is described as approximately 6’00 wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and camouflage cargo shorts. Detectives recovered an ammo clip from the scene which contained a live round of ammunition. A female at the scene was arrested for Outstanding Warrants.
