At about, 1:47 PM, Wednesday, August 07, 2013, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a Person Shot in the area of 1500 Dorchester Ave.
Boston Police are investigating the facts and circumstances regarding an officer involved shooting in the area of 1500 Dorchester Ave. Boston Police Officers, Terry Cotton and Harry Jean, both 24 year veterans of the Boston Police Department and presently assigned to the Drug Control Unit were struck by gunfire following an exchange of gunfire with a suspect. Officer Jean was struck twice in the leg and Officer Cotton was struck once in the leg. Both officers were transported to local hospitals suffering non-life threatening injuries. The male suspect, Roudy Hendricks, 20, of Brockton has been pronounced deceased.
Police are actively looking for a second person of interest described as a light skinned black male, slim build, wearing a maroon shirt with pinstripes, and braided hair.
