Police Investigate Larceny in the area of Atlantic Ave. and Cross St.

 

At about 4:30 PM, Sunday September 8, 2013,  District A-1 (Downtown) received a larceny report for Atlantic Avenue and Cross Street, Downtown.

The victim, an artist  informed officers  he installed a ‘red heart statue’ made out of steel and fiberglass (Valued at $5,000.00) in the Christopher Columbus Park located on Atlantic Avenue at Cross Street. On Sunday, September 8,2013 he  received a phone call from the City Hall informing him  the statue was taken by unknown person(s) on September 7, 2013 between 1:00 A.M. and 7:00 A.M. using unknown instruments.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call District A-1 (Downtown) detectives at 617-343-4248.
