Drug Control Unit Officers And DEA Agents Arrest Dorchester Man on Drug Charges

At about 12:15 PM, Wednesday, September 18, 2013, officers from the Citywide Drug Control Unit and the DEA Task Force set up surveillance in the area of 143 Tonawanda Street to execute a search warrant out of Dorchester District Court. 

Officers observed suspect exit the rear door of 143 Tonawanda Street. Officers observed suspect walk from the house across the street to his motor vehicle. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Melville Avenue and Dorchester Avenue.  Officers removed the suspect from the motor vehicle and read him his Miranda Rights. The suspect reported to officers he had drugs located in his underwear. Officers recovered 1 large plastic bag with 3 separated bags of heroin.  The suspect was determined to be  operating on a suspended driver’s license as well.

After placing suspect, under arrest for Possession With Intent to Distribute Class A Drugs and Operating With a Suspended License, officers made peaceful entry into 143 Tonawanda Street and seized the following items:

  • Two Boxes of baggies
  • Two Digital scales
  •  Four Cell phones
  • 14.00 United States Currency
  • Plastic bag of heroin

Along with various drug paraphernalia   

Jerome Porter, 24, of Dorchester was placed under arrest for Operating Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License and Possession With Intent to Distribute Class A Substances.  He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
