Police charged Christina Martinez, 21, of Dorchester, with Motor Vehicle Homicide, Leaving the Scene of an Accident Causing Death, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Being Licensed (outside of glasses restriction), and issued her a Massachusetts Uniform Citation. The vehicle a grey Toyota Corolla has been impounded. Suspect will be arraigned this morning at Roxbury District Court.
Facts and circumstances of the incident are as follows:
At about, 9:00 PM, Thursday, September 05, 2013 officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a Motor Vehicle Accident Involving a Pedestrian in the area of Northampton St. and Washington St., South End.
On arrival, officers observed a female victim who had been struck by a silver motor vehicle. The driver of the motor vehicle did not stop upon striking the victim. The female victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where she was later pronounced.
Boston Police are actively seeking a silver motor vehicle wanted in connection with this incident. The motor vehicle is believed to have fled in the direction of Washington St. outbound towards Roxbury
