Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Police Arrest Suspect in Connection to a Stabbing in East Boston

 

At about 2:17am, on Saturday, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to a call for an altercation in the area of 21 Bennington Street in East Boston. On arrival, officers observed several patrons leaving the area but were unable to locate a victim. In short time, officers learned that a Mass State Trooper had stopped two individuals near the entrance to the Summner Tunnel. According to the Trooper, the two individuals appeared to have been suffering from various levels of trauma possibly including stab wounds. Upon seeing the victims, officers noted that one of the victims was suffering from an apparent stab wound while the other victim was not.  According to the victim who was later treated for a non-life threatening stab wound, he and his friend had been involved in an altercation outside the club and had been stabbed by an individual wearing red pants who went by the name of ‘Miguel’.      

Later in the evening, four females walked into District A-7 (East Boston) to report that they had been involved in an altercation where two unknown males attacked them outside the club at 21 Bennington Street. Officers noted that the women were in the company of a male wearing red pants. When asked to provide his name, the individual stated that his name was ‘Miguel’.

Officers arrested Miguel Rodriguez, 21, of Chelsea and charged him with Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife).
