Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Super Quick Response Enables Officers to Arrest Two Suspects Fleeing the Scene of an Armed Robbery on District A-1 (Downtown)

 

At about 3:04am, on January 27, 2014, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in the area of Ave DeLafayette and Harrison Ave. In less than a minute of receiving the call, officers arrived on scene. On arrival, officers located the victim who was hurriedly pointing at two individuals who were attempting to flee the area. After stopping the suspects, officers returned to the victim who stated that only one of the suspects robbed him. According to the victim, the suspect approached him, showed a knife and demanded money.

Officers arrested John Williams, 23, of Boston and charged him with Armed Robbery. The second suspect, who had an outstanding warrant, was taken into police custody as well.
