Update: Boston Police Arrest Third Suspect in Connection with Dorchester Shooting

At about 8:04am, Thursday, January 30, 2014, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit located and arrested Javaine Watson, 23, of Dorchester on an outstanding arrest warrant charging him with the Murder. After a thorough and complete investigation, the Boston Police Homicide Unit, working closely with District B-3 detectives, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and members of the Boston Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, was able to identify and name the suspect involved in the shooting. Accordingly, detectives sought and obtained an arrest warrant in the name of the suspect.

The facts of the homicide are as follows: 

At approximately 1:45 a.m. on December 14, 2013, officers responded to a radio call for shots fired at 7 Havelock Street, Dorchester (District B-3).  Upon arrival, officers observed a black male in his 20’s  on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced at the scene. The male victim has since been identified as Romeo McCubbin, 25, of Boston

As a result of an ongoing investigation into the shooting death two individuals were arrested and charged with murder. Omar Denton, 29, of Milton was charged with Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Resisting Arrest, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Subsequent. Omar Bonner, 26, of Hyde Park was charged with Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Resisting Arrest, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Subsequent.
