At about 6:00 PM on Sunday, November, 9, 2014, officers from district D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for an alleged sexual assault that occurred earlier that afternoon at an area hospital. After speaking with witnesses at the scene, officers placed 25-year-old Juan Cortes of Boston under arrest charging him with Indecent Assault and Battery on a Child under 14. Cortes is an employee of the Boston Public Schools, and Boston Police notified the Boston Public Schools after the arrest. The suspect was immediately placed on administrative leave by the BPS and appeared today in Boston Municipal Court.
