Community Alert: Boston Police Alert Residents and Students of Recent Robberies in Mission Hill Area

 

The Boston Police Department is issuing a Community Alert following incidents of Armed Robberies in the Mission Hill area of Roxbury (Alleghany Street, Fisher Avenue) which occurred on November 23, 2014. According to the victims they were not injured during these incidents. The incident descriptions are as follows:

1.     About 9:36 PM, officers spoke with a male victim who stated he was approached from behind by a male suspect with a black firearm, as he walked in the area of Alleghany and Parker Streets. The victim reported the suspect demanded the victim’s money and when he refused the suspect ran off. The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, aprox. 6’, medium build, wearing dark clothing and a Bruins flat brim baseball hat.

 2.     About 9:48 PM, officers spoke with a male victim who stated he was approached from behind in the area of Fisher Avenue and robbed by a male suspect, who brandished a black firearm.  The victim described the suspect as a black male, wearing a navy sweatshirt and dark sweat pants. 

 3.     About 9:50 PM, officers spoke with a male victim who stated he was grabbed from behind as he walked in the area of 156 Hillside Street. The victim further stated he was immediately shown a black handgun, before the suspect robbed him of US currency. The victim described the suspect as a white male, with shadow facial hair, 5'8", medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a grey flat brimmed hat and smelled of burnt marijuana.

During the three separate encounters, the suspects demanded the victims turn over cash only, before fleeing on foot.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Detectives at Area B-2 (Roxbury) at 617-343-4275.
