One Less Gun: Gun, Drugs and Cash Recovered, One Arrested in Roxbury Search

At about 1:10 pm Monday, November 24, 2014, members of the Boston Police Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant at 146 Blue Hill Avenue, Roxbury. The suspect of the investigation was located and informed of the search warrant while entering a nearby liquor store on Blue Hill Avenue. Officers returned to 146 Blue Hill Avenue and made a peaceful entry. Inside the residence, officers encountered two individual not part of the investigation. They were informed of the search warrant and cooperated with officers. Recovered inside the residence during the search was a loaded .380 High Point semi-automatic handgun, about 22 grams of crack cocaine, 13 grams of cocaine and over three thousand dollars in cash.

Officers arrested the suspect, 35-year-old Sharif Hartgrove of Roxbury, charging him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Trafficking Class “B” (cocaine.) Arraignment is scheduled in Roxbury District Court.
