BPD Officers Arrest Suspect Wanted in Connection to Non-Fatal Shooting in area of 1002 Dorchester Ave: At about 7:30pm, on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 1002 Dorchester Ave (D&D Convenience Store) in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located a male victim, a store employee believed to be in his forties, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, suffering from non-life threatening injuries, was transported to the Boston Medical Center for further treatment. Officers spoke to another store employee who stated that he observed a black male enter the store, display a firearm and demand money. During the course of the robbery, the suspect shot the victim and fled the store on foot. A description of the suspect was broadcast over all channels of the police radio. After an extensive search of the area, officers located and apprehended the suspect.

Officers arrested Jarris Charley, 21, of Boston and charged him with Armed Robbery, Assault with Intent to Murder and the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
