Boston Police Seeking Public's Help in Efforts to Gather Information as it relates to Lower Mills Shooting

 

At about 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, Officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to the area of Dorchester Ave and Richmond Street for a report of a person shot.  On arrival officers located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his head. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation has revealed the victim was in the area when a verbal encounter took place after which shots were fired resulting in the victim being struck. The suspect then fled the area.

Due to the severity of the injuries suffered by the victim, the Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Homicide detectives at (617)-343-4470.
