Statement from Police Commissioner William Evans regarding today’s demonstration:

"I would like to again thank the men and women of the Boston Police Department. The restraint and professionalism exhibited by all my officers during today’s peaceful march and demonstration were exceptional. After several sit-ins and blocked roadways, no arrests were made by the Boston Police Department and no injuries were reported. I also want to again acknowledge and thank the public for their patience and understanding as a result of the necessary road closures and driving restrictions employed throughout the day. These are done in the interest of keeping everyone safe and today we did just that. I truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
